Photo Album: Shingles to Metal Roof Installation in Muleshoe, Texas
Mrs. Mendoza of Muleshoe, Texas, contacted Fortenberry Roofing Co. after a severe hailstorm caused significant roof damage. The customer requested an upgrade from her old shingle roof to a durable metal roofing system for long-term protection and improved curb appeal.
Our lead roofing consultant, Dexter B., met with Mr. Mendoza to perform a detailed roof inspection and provide an estimate. Upon inspection, Dexter confirmed that the roof required a full roof replacement due to extensive hail damage. After reviewing options, Mr. Mendoza chose a high-quality Evergreen Metal Roof, designed for superior durability and weather resistance.
Working alongside Dexter, our project manager, Robert, coordinated the installation plan and quickly mobilized the roofing crew. The team began by performing a complete roof tear-off, removing one layer of three-tab shingles and one layer of old synthetic underlayment. They then installed Roofnado Synthetic Underlayment, specifically designed for metal roofing applications, and applied Ice & Water Shield around all penetrations for maximum leak protection. Two outdated roof vents were also removed to streamline the system.
To complete the project, the crew installed 28 sheets of Evergreen Metal panels, each approximately 20 feet long, ensuring a seamless and secure finish. The new metal roofing system not only provides enhanced durability and weather protection but also significantly improves the home’s energy efficiency and overall curb appeal.
At the end of the project, the Mendozas were thrilled with the results.
