Fortenberry Roofing addressed Mrs. Filley's concerns about her home's temperature by offering a free quote to assess the issue. Upon inspection, it was discovered that her attic lacked sufficient insulation and had damaged walls allowing air leakage. To rectify this, Technician Leo V. installed a Radiant barrier to reflect summer heat out and retain winter heat.
Additionally, the crew added blown-in insulation of the recommended R-38 amount, which equates to 10 inches. To further enhance energy efficiency all HVAC and exhaust vents were sealed using a fire retardant foam.
