Attic Insulation Photo Album: Attic installation of Cellulose in Lubbock, Tx
A homeowner in Lubbock, Texas, reached out to Fortenberry Roofing regarding her 30-year-old attic insulation and inquired about adding more to improve the energy efficiency of her home. She wanted to ensure her house stayed warm in the winter and cool in the summer. After requesting a free estimate, our Lead Foreman, Miguel, met with the homeowner to inspect the attic.
Miguel found that in order to reach the recommended R-38 value, 11 inches of cellulose insulation was needed on the main side of the attic, and 10 inches would be required on the garage side. Additionally, Miguel advised sealing any gaps around the chimney and bathroom with insulation board, sealing them airtight with fire retardant foam. He also recommended installing insulation batts around the skylights and wrapping the chimney for added protection. The homeowner was satisfied with the detailed proposal and decided to move forward with the installation.
The Fortenberry Roofing team, led by Leo, Spencer, and Robert, quickly scheduled and efficiently completed the insulation project. The team worked diligently to ensure that the roof and attic were properly insulated to maximize comfort and energy savings for the homeowner.
