Roof Replacement Photo Album: Residential Re Roof in Pep, Texas
Fortenberry Roofing Co. was contacted by Mr. Marek of Pep, Texas, who was in need of a full roof replacement. His existing roof was old, weathered, and showing signs of significant wear. Concerned about possible hail or wind damage, Mr. Marek met with our Senior Salesman, Robbie, at his home to evaluate the situation. After a thorough roof inspection, Robbie confirmed that the home had indeed sustained hail damage. He took the time to go over the details with Mr. Marek, offering reassurance and a clear plan of action to restore the integrity of the roof.
Robbie explained that in addition to a complete re-roof, the home would also require new gutters. He promptly scheduled our technician, Robert, to lead the crew and begin work. The roofing crew arrived early to get the job started. They began by tearing off the old shingles and removing the worn-out synthetic underlayment. During the tear-off, they discovered four areas of rotted roof decking, which were repaired using ¾-inch 4x8 plywood sheets to restore a solid surface.
The crew then installed new ice and water shield in all critical areas, including the roof valleys, around the chimney, and at all roof penetrations, ensuring maximum protection against future leaks. They followed this with a fresh layer of high-performance synthetic underlayment and installed new drip edge along the eaves and rakes for proper water shedding. Additionally, they replaced and extended the vent pipes for both the water heater and furnace to meet code and improve ventilation.
The old gutters were removed in preparation for the installation of new ones, which will be completed after the roofing project is finalized.
Fortenberry Roofing Co. is proud to help Mr. Marek restore and protect his home with a durable, high-quality roofing system built to withstand the elements
