Mrs. Paz of Springlake-Earth, TX, was experiencing persistent issues with a leaking roof, which had become a major source of frustration, especially during rainstorms. Tired of dealing with water intrusion and temporary solutions, she reached out to Fortenberry Roofing Co. for a permanent fix. Our lead roofing specialist, Dexter B., promptly scheduled a free, on-site inspection. During his assessment of the home, detached garage, and backyard shed, Dexter identified several areas of concern, including shingle damage and compromised decking. He provided Mrs. Paz with a detailed quote and presented her with product options. She chose to move forward with a full roof replacement, utilizing IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, complemented by matching Dynasty ridge caps and a black metal drip edge, for a clean, cohesive look.   Dexter coordinated quickly with our project manager, Robert, to expedite the scheduling and installation, which Mrs. Paz greatly appreciated. The crew arrived promptly and performed a full tear-off of the existing shingles and one layer of underlayment across all three structures. During the process, they discovered about 28 linear feet of damaged 1x10 decking that needed replacement and completely redecked the shed for added durability. They then installed new synthetic underlayment, applied ice and water shield around all roof penetrations, and laid approximately 22 squares of IKO Dynasty shingles. All new flashing was installed on the house and garage, along with a new black drip edge for a sleek finish.
