This cozy, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home has been facing unusually high energy bills. We discovered sections of insulation that did not meet the required R-value standards, which are critical for minimizing heat transfer. Additionally, we found areas where the insulation was less than 2 inches thick. This deficiency in insulation is a primary factor contributing to the inefficient regulation of indoor temperatures, allowing hot and cold air to enter and escape the home.

To address these issues, we added 8 inches of cellulose insulation, bringing the total insulation to the recommended 10 inches. This upgrade ensures the attic now meets the required R-value range of 12-38, significantly improving the home's energy efficiency.
